Here are some useful tips to keep in mind before and during your stay at Fagerudd. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
About us
Welcome to Fagerudd. Since 1911, when pastry chef K.H. Lundevall first opened our doors as a guesthouse, we’ve been a place for thoughtful gatherings. During the war years and after, we offered shelter to refugees and served as both hospital and rest home. For a time, Fagerudd was run by the Korpen association – that’s when the sports hall and relaxation area were built. Since the 1990s, we’ve mainly welcomed companies and organizations looking for positive change. And that’s something we’re proud of!

Our reception is staffed on weekdays from 07:00–17:00. When the restaurant is open (for instance during conferences), the team there can also help with questions. Call +46 171-802 90 to reach staff around the clock.
INTERNET
Free internet access is available throughout Fagerudd. Username and password can be found at convenient spots across the venue.
SAFETY & SECURITY
Your safety – and that of our staff – matters to us. Our team is regularly trained in crisis management and emergency procedures.

A defibrillator is located in the reception.

Make it a habit to check the evacuation plan on the inside of your room door.

Harassment of other guests or staff will be reported to the police. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you notice anything inappropriate or if you have concerns.
FORGOT YOUR TOOTHBRUSH OR RAZOR?
Our reception kiosk offers a selection of toiletries and other essentials. We aim to minimize the use of disposable items whenever possible.
At the Bredsand bus stop, about 600 meters from Fagerudd, you’ll also find an unmanned grocery store open 24/7.

THE DESIGN SHOP
Next to reception you’ll find our little design shop, selling carefully chosen pieces – simply things we like to have here at Fagerudd or in our own homes. If you see something on site you admire, chances are it’s available for purchase.
THE BREWERY
Fagerudd has its very own small brewery, run by Bryggmasarna. It’s where we brew the beer served in our restaurant. From time to time, you can also visit our brewpub, where Bryggmasarna host tastings and tours. Learn more at bryggmasarna.se.
THE BEEHIVE
At the highest point of our grounds stands our beehive, where our bees keep trees and flowers healthy and beautiful. Few things are as relaxing as watching others work hard without judging you for not pitching in. Feel free to visit, but avoid standing directly in front of or behind the hive openings – that makes the bees nervous. And of course, you can buy Fagerudd honey in our shop!
PARKING & EV CHARGING
You’re welcome to park your car free of charge in our large parking lot. For guests arriving in electric vehicles, charging stations are available at the upper parking area by Backvillan (the light blue house). Instructions for activation and payment are provided via QR code on the charging pole.
TRANSPORT
Bus 21 to Enköping Central runs twice an hour from our very own bus stop. At reception we’re happy to help you book transport to and from trains, airports or nearby cities with established taxi companies. We can also assist with bus bookings for larger groups.

MEETING SERVICES – FOR BETTER MEETINGS
We’re here to make transformative meetings easier. At reception you can get help with copying, printing, equipment, materials, and other necessities. Fees may apply. Reception can also receive messages or deliveries for distribution during breaks or meals.
To include participants joining remotely, we can provide microphones, cameras and support with connecting to Teams or Zoom.
Each meeting room is equipped with a notepad, pens, and loose sheets to use with clipboards – this way we avoid throwing away half-used notebooks just because someone wrote a few notes on the first page.
ROOM TIMES & MEALS
We were founded by pastry chef K.H. Lundevall – and it shows. Sweetness will always be part of what we do (because sweet is delicious), but we balance it with healthy choices, space for thinking, play and movement. After all, a treat tastes even better when it’s earned – like a beer once the work is done.
YOUR ROOM
Conference guests have access to their rooms from 15:00 on the day of arrival until 09:30 on the day of departure (11:00 on weekends).
Hotel guests follow the times stated in their booking confirmation, usually 15:00–11:00 or by agreement. Check-in and check-out take place at reception.
LUGGAGE & CLOAKROOM
Luggage storage and a cloakroom are available at reception. There is also an unattended cloakroom in the main conference building. We cannot take responsibility for valuables left in rooms, meeting spaces, or cloakrooms. Please let us know if you are carrying items of high value.
HUNGRY IN THE MORNING?
Breakfast buffet is served weekdays 07:00–08:30 and weekends 08:00–10:00, unless otherwise agreed. Hotel guests can also order a lighter breakfast until 10:30 when the restaurant is open.
RESTAURANT & BAR
Our restaurant, dining room, and bar are located in the main building and are open during conferences, larger events, or by agreement. You’ll also find a lounge with TV and a library. The bar stays open until around 23:30.
SMOKING
By Swedish law, smoking is only permitted in designated areas. Smoking zones are located by the main entrance and outside the relaxation area.
The same law prohibits serving or consuming food and drinks within smoking areas. Please kindly leave your drink before entering and follow staff instructions.
ALCOHOL & SERVICE
Fagerudd holds a full license to serve alcohol throughout the premises. This means bringing your own alcohol to consume in our buildings or on our grounds is not permitted, as it would breach our license. We thank you for your understanding and are always happy to recommend something from our wide selection.
WELLBEING & ACTIVITIES
Happy, healthy participants make for better meetings. That’s why we offer plenty of options for rest, reflection, and fun. Ask at reception if you’d like suggestions.
MOVE YOUR BODY!
Exercise boosts creativity, learning, and stress resilience. We’ve got an activity menu ready:

Walking and running maps with different distances and difficulty levels, plus headlamps and reflective vests available at reception.

Our gym with free weights, machines, treadmill, rowing machine, and more is located in the sports hall. Keys/codes are available at reception.

Groups can reserve our sports hall for floorball, basketball, dodgeball, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, badminton – plus access to music system, changing rooms, and sauna.

Outdoor gym at Bredsand beach (500m away) and lighted trails in Gånsta (3 km away).

Simple bikes available to borrow from reception (advance booking required).

Kayaks and SUP boards can be rented from Kayakomat at Bredsand beach.
YOU NEVER REGRET A SWIM!
That’s why our bathing pier is kept ice-free all year round. It’s open to all guests except when our Relax is reserved – in that case, you can swim from the steamship pier closest to reception. A diving tower and sandy beach await at Bredsand beach, just a four-minute walk along the shoreline.
READ MORE & PLAY GAMES
In the main building library you’ll find magazines, books, comic albums (including a Tintin collection), and board games to borrow. Try playing Monopoly with our house rules! In the pub, you’ll also discover arcade games and pinball.
PLAY & MOVEMENT
At reception you can borrow kubb, rounders, and more. We’ve got lawns for outdoor games, and on sunny afternoons we set up cornhole on the terrace. A playground for kids is available at Bredsand beach.
RELAX & UNWIND
Our Relax area – with large beach sauna, lounge space, and outdoor wood-fired hot tubs – is available for groups of 10 or more (advance booking required).
TEAM ACTIVITIES
For conference groups, we also offer a wide range of both unique and traditional team-building activities. Reception will gladly help with ideas and bookings.
